The Department for International Trade promotes and finances international trade and investment, and championing free trade. As part of the UK showcasing itself to the wider world, at the beginning of 2018, tīmata became their partner creative agency on the GREAT campaign for the Middle East region.
In the first 8 months of our partnership, we worked closely with the UK brand team and the British Embassy in Dubai to create the Arabic section of the GREAT brand guidelines. Typography plays a heavy part in the design of the GREAT brand, so this was a really important step to get right. We translated and designed more than 20 of the GREAT ‘pillars’ which were then recreated using the new Arabic brand fonts.
Since 2018, we have worked with both the brand team in the UK and the Embassy in the UAE to also design the Arabic DIT logo, and reproduce all of their print and digital collaterals in Arabic (including posters, exhibition backdrops, Word documents, web banners, social media posts and HTML/email templates). tīmata has recently finished work on reproducing the latest Arabic templates for each of their brochures and design of a few exhibition stands that will be participating at various regional events.
